In today’s fast pacing world, safety personal is being specialized in industries oil & gas, mining, construction, hospitality and hospitals.., even into sub branches of industry such as Mining – Surface & Underground; Surface Mining – Gold, Copper, Coal, Iron ore, Diamond, Nickel and Uranium; Coal Surface Mining – Greenfield or fully operational with ports and railways…
Changing the industry is getting tougher for us. Can operator of mining haul truck drive transportation truck on public road? Maybe yes, he can start the engine and move slowly but… you know what will happen then… Same as it: except my fundamental knowledge about safety management system or soft skills, 15 years of mining safety experience might not be worthy at construction field because I’ve never been there and seen basic thing such as scaffolding safety.
In the end, what we need to concern is quality of our safety experience in certain industry.
